Living in Rome as an Indian Writer
Rome has been my home for six years, a city where ancient history intertwines with the rhythm of daily life. I arrived to pursue a Master's in Mechanical Engineering, yet found myself drawn to the city's creative pulse, leading me to publish two novellas and share my experiences on my YouTube channel, Kaburlu With Rajiv.

Initially, living near Pigneto, I was reserved, venturing out only occasionally. However, relocating to the Tuscolana area ignited a deeper connection with Rome. Strolling through Parco Acquedotti, I embraced the Italian art of dolce far niente—the sweetness of doing nothing. These leisurely moments, sipping Americanos at local cafés, allowed me to absorb the city's essence.
Learning Italian became a bridge to Rome's soul, transforming interactions from simple exchanges to meaningful conversations. This journey from analytical engineer to passionate writer mirrors Rome's blend of logic and creativity.
In this ongoing series, I aim to share my evolving relationship with Rome, capturing its flavors, sounds, and stories, inviting you to experience the city through my eyes.
